There are a wide range of private and public landowners within the area, with a variety of farming, forestry, sporting, conservation and landscape objectives, as well as a range of tenant farmers and other rural businesses, many of whom are set up to support the land based sector, or are at least partly reliant on it. The public sector owners include Forestry & Land Scotland (FLS), Nature Scot and Scottish Water.
